The chef sources high-quality toppings for classic nigiri, including maguro tuna, shellfish and seasonal white fish, paired with carefully seasoned shari rice and house-made tamagoyaki rolled into a thick, sweet omelette. An upstairs room is available for private parties of up to eight guests, a rarity in Omoide Yokocho where most establishments are standing-only counters, and the shop welcomes both walk-ins and reservations for those wanting a more structured dining experience. Sushi Tatsu opens from 17:00 until 23:45, catering primarily to the evening trade, though the chef has been known to accommodate lunch requests for private bookings. Given the small size and loyal following, visitors are best advised to arrive early in the evening or to call ahead, as seats at the counter fill quickly once the post-work crowd descends on the alleyway.
