A beautiful Starbucks with a stunning sakura view. Tried the seasonal hojicha drink and it was absolutely worth it. Highly recommended if you're visiting during cherry blossom season~

This Starbucks occupies a purpose-built pavilion within Shinjuku Gyoen National Garden, one of Tokyo's most celebrated public parks. Opened in March 2020, the store was designed with traditional Japanese architectural sensibilities, its refined lines and low-slung roof blending seamlessly into the surrounding greenery. Floor-to-ceiling windows frame views across the Middle Pond and the English Landscape Garden, making it one of the most visually distinctive Starbucks locations in the world. The menu follows the standard Starbucks Japan offering, but the experience is elevated by the setting: visitors can enjoy their coffee and pastries while watching seasonal changes unfold outside, from spring cherry blossoms to autumn foliage. The store also serves as a rest point for garden visitors, who can pause between strolling through the Japanese, English, and French garden sections that define the 58-hectare park. Access requires entry to Shinjuku Gyoen itself, which has an admission fee of 500 yen for adults. The store operates from 9:00 with seasonal closing times tied to the garden's hours, typically closing at 17:00 in winter and 17:30 in summer, with last orders 30 minutes before closing. It is closed on Mondays when the garden is shut, and visitors should plan around the park's schedule rather than typical Starbucks hours.
