旅するビアガーデン Hello is a seasonal rooftop beer garden situated on the L Terrace rooftop of LUMINE Shinjuku 1, directly connected to Shinjuku Station with zero walking distance from the platforms. The venue has attracted over 150,000 visitors and underwent a major renovation to embrace a "vibrant Japan" theme, featuring elaborate decorations and colourful lighting that create a festive atmosphere high above the city streets. It operates seasonally during spring from April to June and autumn from September to October. The food offering centres on BBQ dishes inspired by various Japanese cities and regional cuisines, moving beyond the typical beer garden fare to incorporate local specialities from across the country. The 2026 theme focuses on Japanese festivals and ennichi, the fair-style food stalls associated with shrine and temple celebrations, bringing the atmosphere of a traditional Japanese matsuri to the rooftop. The combination of grilled meats, cold beer and open-air city views makes it a popular warm-weather destination. Access is via LUMINE Shinjuku 1 at 1-1-5 Nishi-Shinjuku, with the rooftop accessible by escalator from the station concourse. The seasonal nature of the operation means that visitors should confirm opening dates before travelling, as the venue closes during the summer heat of July and August and the winter months. Reservations are recommended for evening sessions, particularly for weekend bookings.
